The Perry Lecompton wrestling team posted a third place finish on Saturday at the St. Marys Invitational. 

The Kaws finished with a team score of 109.5 behind only Manhattan and Silver Lake. Christian Conklin led the Kaws as he won the tournament at his weight class at 175 defeating Diego Juarez of Shawnee Mission North in the championship bout. 

Other first place finishes from St. Marys include Jaxson Vice of Maur Hill-Mount Academy at 120, and Quinton Nelson of Royal Valley at 144.  

Vice defeated Manhattan's Dalton Devin in the championship bout while Nelson defeated Tug Wilson of St. Marys. 

Other notable team finishes include Pleasant Ridge in fourth place, Royal Valley in eighth place, Atchison and Jeff West tied for 12th, Maur Hill-Mount Academy in 17th place, and Doniphan West in 20th. 

There were a total of 23 teams competing.
