Class 1A Division I & II Sub-State Brackets Released

The sub-state brackets have been released for Class 1A Divisions I and II with the tournaments starting on Thursday with the girls tournaments and the boys tournaments starting Friday. All games will be at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

In the Class 1A-DI Onaga girls’ sub-state tournament, Centralia earned the 4-seed and will host 5-seed Onaga.

Doniphan West secured the 2-seed and will welcome in 7-seed Bishop Seabury.

Troy got the 6-seed and will be on the road to take on the 3-seed Marais Des Cygnes Valley in Melvern.

For the boys’ tournament, Onaga got the 5-seed as well and will play at the 4-seed Bishop Seabury at 6:00 p.m.

Troy finished as the 2-seed after an incredible run at the end of the season. They earned the right to host their quarterfinal against 7-seed Doniphan West.

Centralia will also host an opening round game as the 3-seed and will welcome in 6-seed Marais Des Cygnes Valley.

In the Washington County girls’ sub-state tournament, Frankfort earned the 2-seed and will host 7-seed Blue Valley-Randolph.

Clifton-Clyde locked up the 3-seed and will be at home against 6-seed Washington County on Thursday night.

In the boys’ bracket, Clifton-Clyde earned the top seed and a first round bye and won’t have to play their first tournament game until Friday, March 3rd at Washington County and will host the winner of 4-seed Lakeside-Downs and 5-seed Rock Hills-Mankato.

Blue Valley-Randolph will be at home after getting the 3-seed as they will play against 6-seed Washington County.

Frankfort will be on the road as the 7-seed playing at 2-seed Osborne on Friday night.

Axtell is hosting a Class 1A-DII sub-state tournament and the Axtell girls will start on the road for their quarterfinal round game. Axtell is the 5-seed and will travel to Scandia to play 4-seed Pike Valley.

Hanover gets a first-round bye as the 1-seed and will play the winner of that game.

Linn earned the 3-seed and will play at home against 6-seed Wetmore.

In the boys’ tournament, Axtell will get a first-round bye and will play on March 3rd against the winner of the 4 vs. 5 matchup between Kansas School for the Deaf and Linn.

Hanover also earned a bye as the 2-seed and will play against the winner between 3-seed Pike Valley and 6-seed Wetmore.
