The Onaga baseball team jumped up a few spots in the latest rankings from the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches.
The Buffaloes are 10-2 and sit behind only Little River, Colony-Crest and Elkhart in Class 2-1A.
They won their first six games of the season before suffering their first loss against St. Marys. They're coming off a split most recently against Troy with a 4-0 loss and an 11-2 win.
Colby Simkins is leading the team in batting average, hits, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and RBI while Zac Fisher has led the pitching staff with a 1.33 ERA.
Onaga will face Jackson Heights, St. Marys Academy, Valley Falls and ACCHS in the next couple of weeks to wrap up the regular season.
