Sabetha Golf Wins Marysville Invitational by One Stroke

The Sabetha boys’ golf team was able to hold off Concordia and Clay Center by one stroke to win the Marysville Invitational.

The Bluejays ended up shooting a team score of 347 with Concordia and Clay Center both rounding out the podium each shooting 348.

Nemaha Central finished tied for fifth with a score of 370 which was nine strokes back of fourth-place Wamego (361).

Sabetha junior Dalton Rokey got solo third with an 83 which was just one stroke back of two golfers that tied for first place with an 82.

Rokey finished with the second-lowest nine-hole score also with a front-nine score of 40.

Juniors Cole Grimes and Cullen Wikle also made the top ten with scores of 85 and 87, respectively. Grimes ended up in sixth place and Wikle finished eighth.

Nemaha Central was led by senior Isaac Lueger, who finished in 18th with a score of 90.
