The Nemaha Central girls’ track and field team won their own meet on Tuesday afternoon by a wide margin.
The Thunder obtained a team score of 125.33 which was 41 points better than Marysville which finished runner-up with 84.33 points.
Jefferson County North rounded out the top three for the girls’ meet with a score of 81.
Sabetha placed fifth with 53 points, Doniphan West finished sixth with 52 points, Jackson Heights ended up in seventh with 45 points, Axtell tallied 27 points for eighth place, Royal Valley got 9.33 points for ninth place and Riverside got one point for tenth place.
On the boys’ side, Marysville won the meet with 155.5 points with Axtell getting a distant second-place finish with 118 points.
Nemaha Central placed fourth with 61 points which was 12 points back from a podium finish with Rock Creek placing third.
The Sabetha boys also placed fifth with 53 points, Jefferson County North got 32 points for sixth place, Doniphan West placed seventh with 23 points, Royal Valley got eighth place with 21.5 points, Jackson Heights ended up ninth with 16 points and Riverside placed tenth with two points.
