The Onaga baseball team put together an impressive sweep over Valley Falls on Thursday afternoon with wins of 12-5 and 15-1.
The Buffaloes are the #6 ranked team in Class 2-1A while the Dragons entered the doubleheader ranked #8 in the classification.
Onaga jumped out early in game one leading 7-1 after five innings but Valley Falls battled back with four runs in the sixth before the Buffaloes put the game away with five of their own in the sixth.
Colby Simkins pitched all seven innings for Onaga striking out six and reaching base four times while driving in two runs.
Jeramia Dorsey reached base four times including an RBI double in the third inning and Zac Fisher reached base four times and scored three runs.
Myles Reich led Valley Falls during the rally with a two RBI single while Zac Evans added a pair of singles. A.J. Reeves and Grant Meyer also added RBI's.
Onaga is 15-3 after the pair of wins while Valley Falls dropped to 12-6 overall. The two teams could potentially meet up in Regional's as both teams will be in the Onage Regional in two weeks.
