The Kansas Softball Coaches Association have released their All-State teams for the 2023 season.
Holton landed two selections on the first team in Class 4A with senior catcher Timber Wilson and senior infielder Brooke Flewelling. The Wildcats won 12 games but had their season end in the regional tournament against Rock Creek.
No surprise with McLouth having a good showing on the 2-1A All-State teams after claiming the first state championship in school history.
Senior pitcher Corissa Bandel, senior infielder Jillian Holwick, sophomore outfielder Cresinda Bandel and sophomore utility Dani Lee all were named to the first team. Junior catcher Anna Patz was named to the second team.
The Bulldogs went 26-0 on their way to the state title and it will go down as one of the more dominant runs in state history.
Troy posted another really strong season going 19-3 with their only three losses to the state champs in McLouth.
Sophomore infielder Emerson Weber and freshman outfielder Harper Whetstine were named to the first team while senior pitcher Paityn Engemann was named to the second team.
