The Corning legion baseball team scored nine runs in the first two innings on Wednesday night and never looked back in a 11-2 win at Sabetha.

They finished the Raptors in five innings via the run-rule.

Corning scored four runs in the first and five in the second and that was more than enough to pull away for the victory.

Corning finished the game with eight hits and defensively finished with no errors. Sabetha got their two runs in the fourth inning on three hits after being held hitless in their first three at-bats.

Onaga's Zac Fisher was our McDonald's of Hiawatha and Seneca player of the game as he pitched four innings and allowed two runs with five strikeouts.

Fisher also reached base four times with two hits, two walks and two runs scored.

Wetmore's Kyler Wommack added two hits and four RBI's including a bases clearing double in the first inning.

Sabetha's two runs in the fourth inning were off RBI hits from Jacob Grimm and Christian McAfee.
