The KSHSAA Executive Board recently approved items during their June meeting that will affect postseason play. 

State football, starting in 2024, will be held at three locations with three games taking place at each location. 

The games in 2024 will be held November 29th and 30th with one game on Friday and two games on Saturday at each location. 

6A, 5A and 4A will be held at one site while 3A, 2A and 1A games will be played at another site. The 8-Man and 6-Man games will take place in Newton. 

The location of the games will be determined at a later date. 

Other changes included the soccer postseason where all Championships will be played at one site starting in the fall 2024. 

Wrestling will also see some changes for this year while basketball and volleyball postseason formats will be discussed in the future. 

State wrestling will have a different feel with three-day tournaments at two sites. 6A and 5A boys and girls together at one site while 4A and 3-2-1A boys and girls will be together at another site.
