The Pleasant Ridge volleyball team won the McLouth Invitational Tournament on Saturday for a second consecutive season.
The Rams were dominant throughout the course of the day as they didn't drop a single set.
They defeated ACCHS (25-16, 25-13), Maur Hill-Mount Academy (25-21, 25-14), and Bishop Ward (25-11, 25-10) in pool play.
They swept Bishop Seabury Academy (29-27, 25-17) in the semi-final to advance to the championship match against Royal Valley (25-17, 25-16) where they would go on to win it.
"This is a super special group of girls," said Rams head coach Danielle Langley. "Once our offense started picking up speed, the girls became unstoppable."
Langley would add that winning the tournament for a second straight season was the goal and they were able to accomplish that.
Royal Valley's lone loss was against the Rams in the title match and they got wins in the tournament over McLouth, Bishop Seabury Academy, KC Christian, and Maur Hill-Mount Academy.
The Ravens picked up the third place finish with their lone two losses to the top two teams. They got wins over Bishop Ward, Bishop Seabury Academy, and ACCHS.
