Perry Lecompton def. Jefferson West 25-22, 25-15

Jefferson West had the lead for most of the first half of the first set. It went back-and-forth in the middle portion of the set, but the Kaws were able to settle in with senior hitter Taylor Damme getting into a rhythm. Senior Rylee Kemp and freshman Paxton Damme also stood out in the first set with setter Kyndol Gray making great passes to her teammates. In the second set, Jefferson West was able to hang around for a bit, but the Kaws pulled away late for a sizable second set victory.

Hiawatha def. Perry-Lecompton 17-25, 25-22, 25-15

Perry-Lecompton kept up their momentum from the first set with a red-hot start. Hiawatha was able to get back in it with a run in the middle of the set, but just like their sets in their first match, they made a late run to pull away from the Redhawks. In the second set, it was Hiawatha that got off to the hot start taking a 9-2 lead, however it would dwindle away as Perry-Lecompton led for most of the middle portion of the set. The Redhawks remained composure and surged past the Kaws to win the set. In the final set, the Kaws had a late lead, but the Redhawks went on a monster run to put the match on ice.

Jefferson West def. Hiawatha 20-25, 25-21, 25-19

Hiawatha was able to get the first set win thanks to heroics from Abby Elfner and Maddy Simmons. Adison Williams made some great passes to set up the two hitters for success to take care of business. In set two, Jefferson West didn’t have their first lead until it was 15-14. It was tight until the final stretch when hitters Rees Brown, Addison Schwinn and Ainsley Scott made big time kills to extend to a third set. The third set was like the set with an early lead for the Redhawks, the Tigers coming on late and finishing off the job.
