K-Preps have released their latest football rankings as we're heading into week eight which is the final week of the regular season on Friday night. 

Axtell won it's 33rd game in a row over Frankfort this past week and remain the #1 ranked team in 8M-II. Axtell's winning streak is now the longest current active win streak in the state after Andale lost this past week against Cheney. The Eagles also claimed the district title with the win over Frankfort. 

No change in Class 2A as Nemaha Central and Sabetha remain #1 and #2 respectively. The Thunder won their 20th game in a row this past week against Riley County 30-0. The Thunder remain the top scoring defense in the state among all classifications as they've shutout six straight opponents and have given up six total points all season. 

The Bluejays are giving up just 6.1 points per game this season and dominated Horton last week winning 55-6. Sabetha scored 48 points in the first half of that game and never looked back.
