The Nemaha Central volleyball team closed out the regular season with another 2-0 night in Big 7 league play with wins over Perry-Lecompton and Hiawatha.
The Thunder finish a perfect 14-0 in league play and capture their 25th, and final, Big 7 league title. They won 25 Big 7 league titles in the 52 year history of the Big 7 league. Perry-Lecompton finished behind the Thunder in second place this season.
The Big 7 league will form with the Mid-East league creating the Big East league at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
The Thunder will enter the Marysville Sub-State tournament this weekend with an overall record of 36-3. They've been one of the top ranked teams in the state for the majority of the season by the Kansas Volleyball Association.
