The Hanover Wildcats volleyball team suffered their first loss of the season over the weekend at the Republic County Tournament. 

The top ranked team in 1A-II lost to the #1 ranked team in 3A which is Beloit in the tournament championship 15-25, 16-25. 

Hanover was perfect in pool play with wins over Clay Center JV, Washington County, and Clifton-Clyde. Clifton-Clyde would finish in fourth place getting out of pool play with a 1-2 record and they would fall to host Republic County in the consolation match. 

Washington County also finished 1-2 in pool play but finished the tournament in sixth place while Riverside went 0-5 on the weekend and finished in seventh place.
