On Tuesday, September 24th, the Hiawatha Redhawks had a successful senior night in the roundhouse, facing off against the Perry Lecompton Kaws and the Rossville Bulldawgs.

The Redhawks secured a 2-1 victory over the Kaws and a 2-0 sweep over the Bulldawgs.

Maddy Simmons delivered an outstanding performance with nine kills against Rossville and eight against Perry.

Alija Contreras also shone with fifteen digs against Rossville and twenty-one against Perry for their senior night in the Roundhouse. Freshman Brynnan Boye also contributed four blocks during the night.

However, the star of the week is junior Adison Williams, who reached 1,000 kills at the Hiawatha Invitational Tournament last weekend in her second year as the starting varsity setter, making a significant impact for the Redhawks.

As the 2024-2025 season comes to a close, the upcoming games against St. Marys, Nemaha Central, and Silver Lake will be crucial for the Redhawks' substate standings
