Tonight, the Jackson Heights Cobras played the Valley Falls Dragons in a one-sided match that ended 74-0. Austin Zeller kicked it off for the Cobras to start the night, and the game was set in motion. The Cobras defensively were able to swiftly get the ball back for their first drive and did quick work with it, getting senior Titus Eisenbarth into the endzone from 15 yards out, tilting the score to start 6-0. Drake Mellies would follow up the next score with a 65-yard punt return touchdown, and Jan Ludvick would follow the score up by nailing a PAT, making it 13-0. The Cobras would have back-to-back 2-yard touchdown runs from both Austin Zeller and Titus Eisenbarth before the first quarter ended 26-0.

Coming into the second quarter, the Cobras were well on their way to a landslide victory with another immediate touchdown made by Drake Mellies, this time on a defensive 50-yard pick-six. Sir Peek caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Drake Mellies to make the game 41-0 in the second quarter. Jackson Heights would follow up with three more scores in the second with a 10-yard running score from Dillon Childs, a 44-yard touchdown run from Titus Eisenbarth, and then finally settling the first half with the final touchdown to make it 60-0 was a 67-yard touchdown burst from Kade Holiday.

On a roll into the third quarter, a running clock was called, and the Cobras got right back to business with a touchdown ran by the offensive lineman senior Max Watkins from 2-yards. The majority of the JV was put into the game by this point from Jackson Heights to close it out.

The Cobras came running into the fourth and final quarter, and running they did! The Cobras wasted no time hustling Kolby Bowhay into the endzone for the final touchdown of the night, posting the final tally of 74-0. Jackson Heights ended the game with four interceptions on defense and their total offense rushed for 270 yards on the ground.

Jan Ludvick had another great night kicking for the Cobras, going 6 of 9 on extra points in his return after some missed time from injury. Drake Mellies finished the night with four carries for 77 yards and even passed for 41 yards and a score while completing 3 of 6 passes. Mellies finished the night with three total endzone visits when including the defensive and special team scores. Titus Eisenbarth had yet another great night on the gridiron, finishing with 61 yards off just three carries and adding three scores. Titus also led the team in tackles tonight with four total tackles and two that went for a loss.

This victory locks up both the district title and league title for the Jackson Heights Cobras.
