Legion baseball season is almost upon us in full swing in the Northeast Kansas League with all the teams hitting the field come Sunday. Although one team, Sabetha Legion Post 126 has already gotten a few games under their belt this season as they improved to 2-1 this season behind a 7-4 win over Auburn last night.

Sabetha down early to Auburn 3-2, used one hit, four walks and a key two-out error in the fourth inning to plate four runs and grab the lead and ultimately the 7-4 win. Graham Droge lead Sabetha on the mound pitching five strong innings allowing only one earned run on four hits and a free pass. Offensively it was Nolan Keim leading the way for Sabetha with a pair of hits, as they also took advantage of eight walks and a hit batsman to aided their offense.

Next up for the Sabetha they take to the field in Northeast Kansas League action on Sunday in a double-header at Royal Valley starting at 1:00pm. The rest of the Northeast Kansas League takes to the field also on Sunday with other matchups on the day including: Holton at Hiawatha DH (4 & 6pm), Atchison at Frankfort DH (4 & 6pm) and Seneca at Doniphan County DH (4 & 6pm).
