Sabetha Legion Wins at Holton

Sabetha 15 - Holton 5 in six innings

Playing for the second time in three days, the result was similiar to Sabetha's third place NEK League Tourney win on Monday as Post 126 put another 15 runs on the board at beat Holton 15-5 in regular season action on Wednesday night. 

Sabetha, playing without starters Keegan Schumann and Graham Droge because of injuries, jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning as Taylor Bauman hit a two-run homer.  They added two runs in the third before Holton got back in the game with a two-run blast by Eric McKinsey to make it a 5-3 game.  Sabetha would keep the offensive pressure on scoring two in the fourth and fifth and then put the game away with six runs in the sixth.  Holton scored their final tallies in the fifth on sixth on RBI doubles by McKinsey and Korby Strube before falling to 1-6 on the season.  Holton used three pitchers who combined to allow 14 free passes.  Kyle Stallbaumer (2-0) started and went five innings for Sabetha in the win and added two hits and runs offensively.  Nolan Keim also had two hits and scored three timess while Tyler Ulrich was 2-2 with a run and 2 RBI.  McDonalds Player of the Game honors went to McKenzie McAfee who was 2-3 with a pair of runs and 3 RBI which came on a three-run long ball in the sixth inning to seal the win.  Mac also moved to the infield because of injuries and made a couple outstanding defensive plays at third base while Sabetha did not committ an error in the game improving to 8-2 this season and 3-0 in league play.
