(KTNC) - Falls City advanced into the championship game of the B1 Senior Legion Area Tournament, with a 5-1 victory over Auburn First National Bank Monday night.
Auburn got on the board in the first inning, as lead-off hitter Robert Georges got on base and came around to score.  That was the only run Blue Storm pitcher Logan Scheitel allowed in the game.
Falls City broke a close game with three runs in the 5th inning.  Scheitel allowed five hits and struck out five batters in a complete game effort on the mound.
Chaz Dunn led the Blue Storm offense with three hits, all singles, and three runs scored.
Nick Behrends took the loss for Auburn.
Falls City collected seven hits in the game, one day after they were no-hit in a 10-0 loss to Norris.  Falls City will face Norris, the top-seeded team in the tournament, in the championship game, scheduled to start at 5:30 Tuesday night.
Norris has dominated the tournament so far.  They have yet to give up a run in three tournament games, having outscored their opponents by a combined score of 30-0.  Falls City has to win two games Tuesday to win the tournament.
The winner advances to the State Tournament, beginning this weekend in Gering.
