(KTNC) - Auburn Senior Hannah Brown will get a chance to improve on her 11th place finish at last year’s Nebraska State Golf Meet.
Brown won the District Golf Meet Tuesday at Miracle Hill Golf and Tennis Center in Omaha. Brown shot an 89, six strokes better than District runner-up Klaire Nuttleman of Lincoln Lutheran.
The top 10 individuals and top three teams at the district meet qualify for the State Meet.
Johnson County Central senior Michaela Pooch also qualified for State after finishing 8th Tuesday with a 100 total.
Omaha Brownell-Talbot was the team champion with a 398 total. Lincoln Lutheran was second with a 404 and Fairbury was third with a 437 total.
The Class C State Golf Tournament will be held Monday and Tuesday in Columbus.
