(KLZA) -- Chaz Dunn scored 23 points in leading Falls City Sacred Heart to a 68-55 win to caputre third place in Class D2 at the Nebraska Boys State Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
The Irish fell behind early 7-0 then went on a 9-0 run and held an 18-17 advantage after one quarter. Dunn Scored 10 of his points in a big second quarter that saw the Irish increase the lead to 43-27 at halftime.
Matt Goltz had 9, Jarod Fiegener and Colin Niemeyer 8 each and Logan Scheitel scored 7 for Sacred Heart.
Sacred Heart lost in the semi-finals to eventual state champion Bancroft-Rosalie 55-44. The Irish actually outscored the Panthers 37 - 28 in the second half but had fell too far behind in the first half of the game.
Dunn was named to the All-Tournament team in class D2. The Irish finish the season 25-4 and ranked 4th in the Omaha World Herald and 3rd in the Lincoln Joural Star.
