It was success on the golf course for the girls Holton Wildcats golf team as they captured the Council Grove Invite team crown with a 191 on the day 24 strokes better than second finishers Anderson County.

The Wildcats on the day were led by multiple top 10 finishes with five of the top 10 spots going to a Wildcat golfer. Krystie Miller led the way shooting a 43 good enough for a second place finish and only one stroke behind first place.

Miller was joined in the top 10 by four of her teammates as Haley Ruhle (47), Sam Herring (48), Ali Morris (53) and Paige DeLay (53) finished sixth, seventh, ninth and tenth, respectively on the day. Anne Bowser also competed for the Wildcats on the day she shot a 62.

Holton looks to use the great success on the golf course to propel them throughout the rest of the season as they prepare for the Jeff West Invite on Monday.
