Seventh-place game: #7 McLouth- 55, #8 Oskaloosa- 48
The boys team of McLouth had to play Maranatha three times and the Bulldogs came out victorious each time. Just like the boys squad, the Lady Bulldogs knocked off Oskaloosa for the third time this season, but it didn’t come easily. Oskaloosa packed a punch in the first quarter by scoring 18 points to lead by one at the end of the quarter. McLouth held the Lady Bears to just four points in the second quarter and continued to slightly stretch out the lead in the following quarters. McLouth senior Kayla Steffey led the charge for the Lady Bears with 18 points while junior Meghan Jackson was close behind with 17. Oskaloosa had two players with 11 points in sophomore Maddy Miller and freshman Matty Molder.

Fifth-place game: #3 Valley Falls- 57, #5 Maranatha- 35
This one was won right from the start. The Valley Falls Lady Dragons outscored Maranatha 16-6 in the first quarter and led 28-15 at halftime. Any chance of a comeback vanished after the Lady Dragons scored 17 points after the break. Sophomore Lauren Harrington paced the Lady Dragons with 16 points and sophomore Natalie Pickerell chipped in 14. Maranatha junior Alayna Gabbert had 10 in the loss for the Lady Eagles.

Third-place game: #2 Cornerstone- 45, #4 Perry-Lecompton- 49
Cornerstone established the early 8-4 lead after the first quarter, but Perry Lecompton stormed back, outscoring Cornerstone 19-11 to lead 23-19 at halftime. Cornerstone charged back in the final quarter, but the Lady Kaws held on for the narrow four-point victory. Perry Lecompton’s experience received a dash of youth. Freshman Lexia Jamison led all scorers with 15 while senior Kailani Jones finished with 10. For Cornerstone, senior Katherine Wenger recorded 15 points and junior Tallie Bryant scored 13.

Championship game: #1 Jefferson County North- 69, #6 ACCHS- 36
Coming into the game as the number one-ranked team in Class 2A by the KBCA, the Lady Chargers sprinted out of the gates early by scoring 22 points in the first quarter while holding the Lady Tigers to just four. JCN gave up 16 points in the second quarter, but led 42-20 at the break and never looked back. Jefferson County North senior Jacee Kramer capped off her impressive tournament performance with 19 points while senior Jamie Navinskey was close behind with 18. Sophomore Jenna Kramer also chipped in 10. No players were in double figures for ACCHS, but three players had seven in senior Taylor Vandeloo and juniors Lillie Holtgrave and Rachel Newquist.
