Sabetha moved back over .500 on the season and into a tie for second with Doniphan County in the League standings with a sweep of Atchison in a doubleheader at Somerset Park, claiming 7-3 and 6-4 wins. For Atchison their recent rough stretch continues as they've lost their last six games.

Throughout the night Sabetha's pitching and defense quieted the Atchison bats allowing only six hits to Atchison but Atchison had opportunities to hang in each game.

In game one Gaven Schumann led the charge for Sabetha pitching a complete game four-hitter guiding Sabetha to the 7-3 win. Gaven Schumann used only 86 pitches to game the complete game win and gave up 3 runs on four hits and four walks, while striking out three.  Atchison did strike first in the contest plating a run in the top of the first to hold the 1-0 lead but Sabetha erased the lead by scoring three-runs in the second lead by a Keegan Schumann two-run single. Atchison tied the score in the fourth using a Brian Scott two-run double.  Sabetha once more answered by scoring a pair of runs without an RBI in the bottom of the fourth and then widened the margin to 7-3 by scoring two more runs in the fifth.  Keegan Schumann and Dustin Boeckman lead the Sabetha offense with three hits each, while Keegan added a run scored and three RBI's in the contest.

Game two Sabetha took the early 4-1 advantage after just the first inning and held on for the 6-4 victory. Using three hits, a walk and hit batter and three Atchison wild pitches Sabetha scored their four runs in the first and added single runs in the second and third frames. Atchison pushed back into the game in the fourth with two runs of their own, both unearned but wouldn't manage much after that. Tyler Hackney picked up the win by tossing four innings allowing four runs (two earned), while Taylor Bauman pitched the final frame for his fourth save of the year.

With the wins Sabetha moved to 12-11 on the season and 7-3 in League play, while Atchison fell to 5-8 overall and just 2-7 in League play with the losses.
