Drake Ewing leads the Cats with 987 yards and 14 scores while Cameron Karn has 626 yards and Chase Wilson and Trent Tanking are both over 350 for the season.

Jeff West is in the playoffs for the first time since 2009 and only the second time since 1998 thanks to a pair of district wins by 5 and 7 points. The Tigers are led by Wyatt Miller with 909 yards on the ground and Ian Mullins who has thrown for nearly 800. Jeff West is 5-0 at home this year and 0-4 on the road. KC Piper lost to playoff qualifiers Mill Valley and Eudora who are a combined 16-2. If the Tigers win tonight they would host Spring Hill or Baldwin.
CLASS 3A -
Nemaha Valley at Hiawatha - listen live
It's the Raiders and the Redhawks in a rematch from week five of 2012 when NV rallied for 15 points and overcame an early 14-0 deficit to beat the Hawks 27-21. Both teams are now 7-2 and hungry for a playoff win. While Hiawatha returns to the post-season for a second straight year, they haven't won a playoff game since beating Holton in 2001. Meanwhile, the Raiders are making their initial playoff appearance in a decade and last won a playoff game in 1997 (13-0 vs. Pleasant Ridge). The Raiders are led by a defense that besides Hiawatha, hasn't allowed more than 12 points in any game since week two, and went 5-0 in the Big 7 League to win the North Division Title. A 7-6 victory against Rock Creek followed by their first shutout of the year 33-0 at Marysville broke the playoff drought for NV and second year Coach Warren Seitz. Caleb Meyer has thrown for 825 yards and ran for a team high 330 for the Raiders, who have had a handful of 4th quarter comebacks. Hiawatha is a high-octane offensive show with Brad Chilcoat throwing for more than 1,400 yards in 8 games and brother Denzel Chilcoat, (the fastest player in the league) who has 16 touchdowns with 689 yards rushing and 484 receiving. Parker Hasenkamp leads the Redhawks with 868 yards on the ground while Conner Bigham is the top receiver with 35 catches for 555 yards. The winner of this game gets the Silver Lake/St. Mary's winner on Saturday.
Sabetha at Riley County -
Sabetha is in the playoffs for the fifth straight year, but looking for a post-season win as they travel to play Riley County for the third consecutive Bi-District matchup. The Bluejays are trying to match the 5-win plateau of last year, after winning just 3 games the two years prior to 2011. McKenzie McAfee, despite missing a trio of games offensively had 125 yards in a 21-12 home loss to Hiawatha last Thursday and paces Sabetha with 382 yards while sophomore Keegan Schumann is just over 400 yards on the season. Taylor Bauman has 27 catches for 441 yards and 7 touchdowns. The Falcons have won five straight after starting the year 0-4 losing to playoff bound foes. Riley County quarterback Bryce Chavis has 1,169 yards running and another 955 threw the air. If Sabetha wins they will host Rossville or travel to Pleasant Ridge.
Pleasant Ridge at Rossville -
The Rams are back in the playoffs after a two-year hiatus and had a long streak of post-season appearances going prior. After losing their District opening, the Rams responded with wins against MH-MA 46-38 and ACCHS 28-20 to qualify in Class 3A under first-year Coach Pat McCollium. The Rams will have a tough task on their hands when they travel to an 8-1 Rossville team, whose only loss this season is to unbeaten and top ranked Silver Lake. Rossville touts a balanced offense with senior quarterback, Dalton Catron leading the way as he has thrown for 1,394 yards 17 TD's and rushed for 566 yards 7 TD's. Catron is not the only dangerous player the Rams will have to watch out for as sophomore, runningback, Nic Ressor has 627 yards rushing and 12 TD's this year.
For, Pleasant Ridge their success has been by the rushing attack this season. Freshman, Nick Holmes and junior, Blake Graham led the way with 510+ yards on the ground each this season. The Rams have finished the last 12 years with a winning record and in order to keep that streak alive will have to win a few playoff games with their 4-5 record. if Pleasant Ridge wins they would host Sabetha or Riley County.
CLASS 8-MAN DII-
Goessel at B&B - Listen Live
The B&B Falcons over the last five seasons including this year are 59-2 with four state title appearances, winning two of those games; the Falcons looked primed to make another run towards a state title in head coach, Justin Coup's second year at the helm. But before Coup was leading the Falcons he led the team his Falcons are playing the Goessel Bluebirds for 13 years and led them to their last playoff appearance in 2009 were they loss to B&B in the second round 58-14.
Goessel is led by Coup's former varsity quarterback when he was coaching the Bluebirds, that's first year man, Garrett Hiebert. The Bluebirds have a potent offensive attack especially in the air as their senior quarterbak, Trey Schmidt has thrown for 1,649 yards and 37 TD's, while rushing for 644 yards and 13 TD's. Zach Showalter, Nic Buller and Shane Goerzen present great targets for Schmidt and the Bluebirds.
B&B won't be caught off guard by the Bluebirds as coach Coup knows the Bluebirds players, plus the Falcons are battle tested throughout the season with games against playoff qualifiers in Hanover, Madison and Pretty Prairie. The Falcons have plenty of playmakers as junior quarterback, Dustin Rottinghaus continues to blossom into a great player and Dustin Deters leads the way at runningback. But, B&B makes their presence most known on defense as they only allow 10 ppg this season.
This one will be emotional for coach Coup but he and his Falcons his sights set on another playoff run. If B&B wins they will play the winner of Waverly/Caldwell. If Waverly (9-0) wins the game will be at Baileyville if Caldwell wins they would host the Falcons.
Hanover at Chase
Both teams come into this one at 7-2 but for Chase they play host to Hanover as they won their district. High powered offensive will be on displayed as the Wildcats average 45.7 ppg and Chase averages 53.5 ppg on the season.
For Hanover they are battled tested and will be well prepared to face Chase as Hanover's two losses this season came against playoff teams in B&B and Rock Hills (in 8-Man DI). Hanover lead by 16 points against B&B on the road but ultimately loss that game in double overtime. Playmakers are all over the field for the Wildcats and they will need to use all of them to beat Chase. Quarterback, Cody Neiman will lead the way with Mark Zarybnicky in the backfield and guys like Hunter Nicholson, Wade Steinfort and Kent and Andrew Bruna will need to make an impact.
For Chase their offense is potent and been lethal the last few week scoring 60+ points the last three games and 50+ points in the last six. This game sets up to either be a shootout and who can come up with clutch defensive plays.
If Hanover wins they will play the winner of the Kiowa-South Barber/Colony-Crest. Wildcats would host the next round no matter who won the matchup between Souther Barber or Colony-Crest.
