Sabetha hosted five other high school wrestling teams on Saturday and went 2-3 on the day to place fourth while Wamego went 5-0 as a team on the day to claim first place honors.  Riley County was 4-1 while HTRS finished 3-2 with a tight 42-39 opening match win against Sabetha to finish third.  Pleasant Ridge also competed but was sixth place behind Auburn, Nebraska. 

Sharing the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award was Mikey Waggoner (160) of Riley County and Seth Harrell (126) of Sabetha, who both went 5-0 on the day.  Waggoner pinned four opponents all in less than 1:18 and then had a 13-3 decison over Jesse Hickey of HTRS who placed second in the class.  Harrell posted three fall victories in the first quarter as well as a pin in the third period and a 3-0 decision to cap his 5-0 day.
