Doniphan County stepped out of League play on Thursday night and traveled to Falls City for legion baseball action and continued their hot start to the season picking up the 9-0 five inning win.
Jumping out early to a 6-0 lead after just the first inning Doniphan County cruised in the game as the pitching of Wyatt Huss helped lead the way. Huss tossed a five inning complete game two-hit shutout, giving up just one walk and striking out four to earn the win on the mound. The offense finished the game in the fifth with three runs to secure the 9-0 run-rule five inning victory. Tucker Morris blasted another home run, while Wil Smith had a run scored and pair of RBI's and both Huss and Luke Smith each had two RBI's. Falls City struggled on the night with only two hits and hurt themselves with four errors in the contest.
With the win Doniphan County remains unbeaten on the season at 9-0 on the year and will be action again on Sunday in a League double header at Silver Lake.
