The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013 Rawlings-NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team, as selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America Selection Committee. For the seventh year, a total of nine players were chosen based upon their defensive success.
Peru State Bobcat baseball senior Derek Voigt (Auburn, Wash.) was among the nine players chosen for the team. A review of Peru State's records would indicate Voigt may be the first Bobcat to have earned the recognition. Voigt was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference's (HAAC) First Team All-Conference as well as earning HAAC Gold Glove honors.
