Auburn Defends Home Course, Wins Bulldog Golf Tournament

(KTNC) -  On a warm and windy Monday, seven teams competed in the Auburn Invitational Golf Tournament, with the host school winning the team title.
 The Bulldogs totaled 383 for a 21-stroke victory over second place Nebraska City (404). Pawnee City was 3rd with a 409 total, with Falls City 4th (413), HTRS 5th (418), Southern 6th (418), and Lewiston 7th (494).
 Auburn also had the individual medallist. Justin Gren shot an 88, the only score under 90.
 Brody Weinmann of Falls City was second with a 91, one stroke better than Lucas Barr of Southern.
 Four golfers shot 95 – Connor Freeman of Pawnee City, Ryan Sommerhalder of Lewiston, Nick Koso of Auburn, and Tony Jimenez of HTRS. Freeman placed 4th, Sommerhalder was 5th, Koso 6th, and Jimenez 7th in the official standings.
 Kyle Francois of Nebraska City was 8th with a 98. Falls City’s Aaron Kurpgeweit also shot a 98 and placed 9th, and Jack Kudrna of Auburn was 10th with a 99.
