Centralia Panther, JT Rosine Running the Panthers to Success
JT Rosine

The Centralia Panthers coming into the football season lost quite a bit of team that won the Class 2-1A state title and thought they would have a good team this season but the coaches knew they would be young and could have some early learning curves.

Well it didn't take long for the Panthers to grasp every from Head Coach, Larry Glatzcak and his staff as they started the season off quick and have not looked back this season to a perfect 12-0 record and for the second straight year are in the Class 2-1A state title game.

A key part of the the success this season has been the rushing attack of the Panthers who amassed 417 yards against the Lyndon Tigers in the sub-state semifinals. Junior quarterback, JT Rosine was a big part of the potent rushing attack against the Tigers and has been on the season. Rosine versus the Tigers ran for 213 yards on 24 carries and accounted for three TD's for the Panthers on the night. Rosine's 213 yards was good for 51% of the total offense put up against the Tigers in the Panthers 34-14 win at home.

Rosine has been gouging opposing defense's all season to the account of 1,735 yards on 191 carries and 28 TD's on the ground (9.1 ypc). The junior quarterback also has thrown for 609 yards on 35-62 passing for 56.2% completion rate and six TD passes to only one interception.

While, JT's presence may be felt the most on the offensive side he has made a big impact for a stout Panthers defense this season, too. Rosine leads the team with four interceptions, with one returned for a score, while also blocking a kick this season and registering 117 total tackles on the year.

Centralia has enjoyed success yet again to a great season as they own the longest winning streak in the state at 21 straight games, sit at a perfect 12-0 and look to defend their Class 2-1A state title versus Meade on Saturday in Hays.

Rosine and his Panther comrades look to cap off a perfect season and make it back-to-back state titles for the Centralia Panthers in Class 2-1A.
