Stormy Knott

Getting better at your craft is something everyone strives to accomplish and Atchison lady Red junior, Stormy Knott looks like she’s improved her tennis skills as she’s started the season in a strong way.

Knott who competed for Atchison at the Wamego Invitational last year and finished second improved upon that finish this year taking first winning the Singles #1 competition by going 4-0 on the day. Stormy earned a 6-0 over Wamego, 6-2 victory over Wabaunsee, 6-3 win over Sabetha and 6-4 win over Topeka. The first place finish in Singles #1 action for Knott helped guide Atchison to a third place team performance at the Wamego Invitational.

The 4-0 performance came after the Atchison opened the season with a tough dual against Benton in which Knott lost a singles tough 8-6 singles match but partnered up with Olivia Wabski to win a tight doubles competition 8-6 on the day.

Just underway the season looks promising for Knott and Atchison after a solid start as they look to build upon the solid start to the season on the tennis court.
