Sarah Beam

Royal Valley Panthers are putting together another strong softball season and senior, Sarah Beam has been at the forefront leading the prowl as she has been putting big numbers at the plate.

Beam and the Panthers went 4-0 last week to improve to 11-3 on the season sweeping Santa Fe Trail, 15-5 and 22-7 and earning a sweep of ACCHS with 6-5 and 18-3 wins. The Panther senior came through at the plate in big ways in both series. In the two games against Santa Fe Trail Beam was 8-10 at the plate with four doubles, a triple and home run, scoring six runs and registering nine RBI’s. While against ACCHS she struggle in the 6-5 game but bounced back with a 3-3 performance in the 18-3 win recording two doubles, a home run, four runs scored, a walk and five RBI’s.

On the season Beam has been crushing the ball with a .660 batting average and has 33 hits, 22 of which are extra base hits with 10 doubles, a triple and 11 home runs. The eye popping numbers don’t stop there has she as tallied 41 RBI’s and scored 32 runs on the year, while only striking out once in 58 plate appearances.

Beam and her Panther teammates are looking to finish the season strong and gear up for the postseason to make a run in Regionals towards an opportunity at the State tournament.
