Nemaha Central's Cole Kramer Helps Thunder Win Thunder Classic Championship
Cole Kramer

The Nemaha Central Thunder boys’ basketball team is in the midst of perhaps playing their best basketball of the season as they have won four straight games including claiming the Thunder Classic last week.

A large key to the success of the Thunder in their recent run has been the play of senior Cole Kramer, who averaged 18 points per game in Nemaha Central’s two wins last week.

He opened up last week scoring 14 points in the Thunder’s 54-31 win over Falls City Monday in the Thunder Classic Championship, and followed that up with 22 points on Friday in a 51-50 win over Marysville.

On the season Kramer is averaging nearly 15 points per game, while dishing out nearly six assists per game and pulling down five rebounds a night.

Last season he was named a first team All-Big 7 League selection, as he helped lead the Thunder to a Big 7 League championship with a 15-1 league record.

Kramer and the Thunder are now 9-4 overall on the season and will look to continue their recent success this week traveling to Hiawatha Tuesday night before hosting Royal Valley on Friday.
