Tavin Dugan

So far this season the Holton Wildcats have been a dominate team on the golf course winning the Washington County Invite, Hiawatha Invite and their home Invitational, with multiple top 10 finishers consistently in everything tournament.

One Wildcat has been at the top of each competition thus far this season as senior Tavin Dugan has lead the way for the Wildcats this year.

In the opening competition of the season at Washington County, Dugan came up with the best round of the day shooting a 76, tying himself with teammate, Ethan Holaday won took first with a playoff win. Holton as a team won with a team score of 317, 27 strokes better than second place.

Tavin responded by winning the next two events out-right for himself while helping Holton win both the Hiawatha and Holton Invitationals. He started off by shooting a 35 in the Hiawatha Invitational to help the team finish with a 159 score, 26 total strokes better than second place.

In the Wildcats home Invitational Dugan shot a 74, but tied again for the top score with another teammate. This time Tavin bested his teammate, Kenton Tegethoff in a 4-hole playoff to win individual first place. Those top scores helped Holton shot a team score of 307 and capture first place by 45 strokes.

Dugan a two-time state qualifier has his sights set on another solid year on the golf course helping lead the way for the Wildcats and looking to make another trip to state.
