The postseason has started up for the fall sports season and last week the Northeast Kansas League held their annual league race last week with Jackson Heights’ Annie Allen claiming the individual league title.

The win came a week after Allen finished 14th at the Sabetha Invitational behind strong runners from Sabetha and Baldwin.

This comes after a strong sophomore season where Allen reached the state meet after a sixth-place finish at regionals before she finished 18th at state to lead the Cobras.  

Allen finished second at the league meet a year ago and will now turn her attention to the Lyle Alley Invitational where she took third last season.

She will also look to make it back to the state meet this season as 1A regionals are scheduled for Saturday at Riley County beginning at 12-noon.
