Postseason wrestling continued over the weekend with area girls punching tickets to sub-state meets coming up this weekend and top girls performances came from Holton who finished fourth as a team.
The Lady Cats were led by junior Macey Gross who claimed a regional championship in the 126-pound weight class.
Gross had to win just two matches to claim a regional title after receiving a bye in the opening round and won her semifinal match by pin in just 12 seconds before claiming the title via pin over a wrestler from Baldwin.
The wins improved her record to 16-4 on the season as she currently sits as the No. 5-ranked wrestler in the 126-pound weight class.
Gross claimed a district title two weeks ago at 126 pounds and is shining in her first season at the girls varsity level becoming the first Wildcat girl to win a regional title.
Next up for Gross is the sub-state tournament coming up this week which is scheduled to be held at Anderson County High School on Friday, Feb. 19 beginning at 3 p.m.
