Oskaloosa freshman Holly Thacher continues to pile the accolades in her first season for the Bears wrestling program.
This past weekend, Holly won a Regional Title at 101 pounds to earn a trip to the State Tournament in Salina February 23rd and 24th.
Holly is 24-1 and won five other tournaments during the regular season. She’s also currently ranked sixth in the latest rankings from the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association in the 101-pound weight class.
Holly is a part of the Oskaloosa basketball team, and she also does cheer and dance. Her success on the mat is just as good as her success in the classroom as Holly boasts a 4.0 GPA this semester.
Holly also took part in Cross Country this season and was named Second Team All-League in the Northeast Kansas League.
