Emma Vogel

Oskaloosa’s Emma Vogel picked up where she left off last season with cross country as she won the Bears first event of 2023 at Mission Valley last week.

The Bears finished first place as a team in the event and all five runners placed in the top 20 including three inside the top six.

Emma is the defending Northeast Kansas League champion and finished with a time of 22:42.56. She finished last season as the Bears #1 runner finishing first place in three events and placing in all seven events.

She was a big reason that Oskaloosa had their first state qualifying team in over 15 years. Emma adds to the resume as a multi-sport athlete also competing in basketball and softball.
