Holton Golf Continues Win Taking Home Big 7 Quad Title at Santa Fe Trail

The Holton Wildcats continue to win on the golf course this time facing off against three other Big Seven League teams in quad golf tournament hosted by Santa Fe Trail with Perry Lecompton and Hiawatha, also.

Wildcats have won all three competitions they've been involved in by 20 plus strokes and this one wasn't any different as Holton tallied a team scored of 149, 26 strokes better than second finishers, Santa Fe Trail who compiled a score of 175 good for second. Perry Lecompton finished third with a 189 and Hiawatha tallied a 201 good for fourth in the quad.

Holton was able to have the best team score behind the top four individual rounds on the day capturing first throught fourth place individually. Ethan Holaday for the second time this season captured an event title crown, winning the Washington County Invite earlier this season in a playoff with his teammate Tavin Dugan. Holaday shot a 36 to capture the League quad title outright, while Dugan finished with a 37 right behind him for second. Kenton Tegethoff and Preston Sides followed for the Wildcats both finishing with a 38, to finish third and fourth, respectively.

Second place team in Santa Fe Trail rounded out the top five individual perfromances as Austin Resser shot a 41 to have the fifth best round on the day.

For Perry Lecompton and Hiawatha they were highlighted by Jacob Morgison and Mitchell Williams, respectively with a 43 and 46 for the best round for the Kaws and Redhawks on the day.
