Holton Wins Nemaha Valley Golf Invite While Raiders Place 2nd

On the nicest day of the week weather wise, 12 teams from the area took on each other in boys golf at in Seneca as Nemaha Valley played host.

It was one area that has been highlighting the golf scene all season from the area doing it again, as the Holton Wildcats took home another tournament title, this time registering a 4-man scored of 323, 19 strokes better than second place finishers the hosts, Nemaha Valley who tallied a 342 team score. Maur Hill-Mount Academy took home a third place finish with a 364 score, while Onaga was the only other team to have a team score under 400, finishing with a 377 good for fourth place. Vermillion (Frankfort/Centralia) registered a 409 on the day to place fifth, while St. Mary's took sixth with a 414, Atchison placed seventh with a 421, B&B eighth with a 439, Horton nineth with a 452, Washington County tenth with a 461 and Valley Heights place eleventh with a 503. Linn, also competed at the meet up only had three golfers on the day.

On the day only 12 of the 59 competitors on the day shot under a 90 on the days competition. 

Holton was lead on the day by the top two performers with Tavin Dugan taking home another first place finish after shooting a 76, while his teammate Kenton Tegethoff was two strokes behind at 78 to place second. Braden Sides and Ethan Holaday both also finished under the 90 mark, shooting an 81 and 88, respectively.

Nemaha Valley was highlighted by and 82 on the day by Zach Bradley to help the Raiders to a second place team finish, while Trent Olberding posted an 85 the second best round on the day for the Raiders. While they, too like Holton had four golfers finish under 90 on the day, with the other two performances coming at the hands of Caleb Meyer and Blake Mohney who shot an 87 and 88, respectively. 

Maur Hill, Linn, Horton and Onaga each had one individual finish under 90 on the day. For the Ravens it was Christian Wessel with a 88, for the Bulldogs Zak Voelker shot an 84; Horton Charger, Makennzi Knudson registered an 86 on the day, while Onaga Buffalo, Mitchell Kufhal posted an 89.
