JCN Girls and Boys Sweep Jeff West Track Invite

It was a clean sweep for the Jefferson North Chargers at the Jefferson West Track Invite on Tuesday in Meriden.  The Lady Chargers dominated by winning by more than 91 points over Jeff West with Santa Fe Trail third.  The JCN boys were 11 points ahead of Trail, while Jeff West was third and Oskaloosa, ACCHS and Valley Falls completed both the girls and boys final standings.  

JCN girls individual champs included: Carissa McAfee (3200), Ravyn Jobbins (javelin), Kaylee Page (pole vault) and Elaina Tweek (pentathlon).  They also had seven girls earn a silver medal and won the 4x100 relay. 

The Jeff West girls had four individual champions: Alyssa Garza (shot put), Makayla Green (discus), Makenzie Tucker (800) and Mariah Murdie (100 hurdles).  

The Oskaloosa girls were led by a trio of individual gold medals for both Alexi Adams and Brittni Pryor.  Adams sprinted to victory in the 100, 200 and 400 while Brittni Pryor won the 300 hurdles as well as the long and high jumps.

The JCN boys had individual gold medal performances from: Brayden Summers (800 and 1600), Cole Bryant (400), Joel Abel (high jump), Jacob Schrick (javelin) and Ridge Robertson (pole vault). The Chargers also won two relay events. 

Trey Markum of Jeff West won both the hurdle races and Courter Remington took first in the long jump for the Tigers.

Trevor Smith of ACCHS won both the boys discus and shot put throws and Kyle Hopkins of Oskaloosa took the boys pentathlon.
