Klotz's Walk-Off Lifts Royal Valley Baseball to Sweep of ACCHS
Brady Klotz

It has been an up and down year to say the least for the Royal Valley baseball team but despite a slow start the Panthers have turned things around and have won three of their last four games including a sweep of ACCHS on Saturday thanks in large part to Brady Klotz.

Klotz gave the Panthers an 11-10 win in game over the Tigers blasting a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap off a 3-for-4 outing at the plate with three RBI and a run scored.

He followed that up with two more hits in Royal Valley’s 11-1 win in game two with another RBI giving him a 5-for-8 day at the plate with four RBI and a run scored.

He also threw 5.2 innings in the second game allowing just four hits and one earned run while striking out eight.

On the year Klotz is leading the Panthers with a .431 batting average to go along with 19 RBIs, 3 home runs, 14 walks and 9 runs scored.

He is also 2-1 on the mound this season allowing 21 earned runs in 22.1 innings pitched with 30 strikeouts and a 6.58 earned run average.

Klotz will look to continue to lead the Panthers who are 8-12 on the season with regionals coming up next week with a potential matchup with Jeff West looming in the opening round on Monday.
