(KLZA)-- Day one action was completed in the Pioneer Conference Basketball Tournament Monday with games at Humboldt and Lewiston.

In girls games HTRS defeated Lewiston 37-29, Pawnee City beat Southern 49-41 and Sterling advanced to the semifinals with a 52-37 win over Johnson-Brock.

In boys action Diller-Odell defeated Friend 64-54, Pawnee City beat Southern 45-32 and HTRS adavnced to semifinal round action with a come-from-behind 42-40 win over Johnson-Brock.

All games scheduled for Tuesday (2/2) have been pushed back to Wednesday due to weather.

Wednesday boys games will have Lourdes Central Catholic against Diller-Odell at Lewiston at 4:30; Sterline takes on Lewiston at Lewiston at 7:30 p-m and Pawnee City takes on Falls City Sacred Heart at Humboldt at 6 p-m.

On teh girls side top seed Sacred Heart will paly HTRS at Humboldt at 4:30, Lourdes Central Catholic will play Diller-Odell at 6 p-m in Lewiston and Pawnee City will take on Friend at 7:30 at Humboldt.   

Plans are to broadcast selected games during the semifinals, and final day action on SUNNY 101.3. Barring further weather delays the semi's will be Thursday at Friend with the final roudn games at Friend on Saturday.
