Mound City Girls Win District Cross Country Title

(KLZA)-- The Mound City girls won the District 8 Cross Country Championship for a second consecutive year this past Saturday in Maryville.

The entire Panther squad will represent Mound City at the State meet Saturday, November 6th at Jefferson City. 

Panther senior Kendey Eaton won the District Championship for a third straight year. Deanna Clayton won a medal placing 9th and medals were also won by Joeigh Eaton in 12th and Henna Kivilahti in 13th. 

Other team members that will compete at state are Adrienne Messer, Jessica Johnson, Jocelyn Clayton and Sylvia Foust.  

 Destiny Klosek of Tarkio was 7th and qualifies for State along with teammate  Grace Martin who finished 15th. 

The only area boy to qualify for State Cross Country was Rock Ports Ty Jones
