Nebraska State Track Meet Results for Area Athletes

The Pawnee City Girls finished 10th, scoring 21 points at the Class D  Nebraska State Track Meet in Omaha last weekend.  Lourdes Central Catholic of Nebraska City was one spot ahead with 22 points.

Falls City Sacred Heart and Sterling each had 10 points.

Individually for Pawnee City, Sophomore Mariah Willey placed 2nd in the 100 meters, and the high jump.  She also placed 8th in the long jump. Senior Hannah Davis was 8th for the Indians in the discus and  Senior Jenna Habegger was 6th in the shot.

Sacred Heart’s Maggie Goltz, (JR)  placed 3rd in the triple jump and teammate Jade Hill ( SO) was 5th. 

Taylor Cockerill (SO) of Sterling was 4th in the 3200 meters and Jazzy Eickhoff (SR) was 4th in the shot.  

In Class C HTRS freshman Allie Binder placed 7th in the 1600 meters and Johnson County Central freshman Maddie Moran was 8th in the 200 meters. 

Auburn junior Maggy Rieschick placed second in the 300 meter hurdles in Class B and Bulldog junior Taylor Petersen was 8th in the pole vault. 

In the boys team results Falls City Sacred Heart placed 9th in Class D with 24 points. Sterling scored 4 points.


In Class B Syracuse scores 16 points and Falls City 2.  In Class C Johnson County Central had 8 points. 

For the Irish in Class D senior Austin Malone placed 3rd in the triple jump and 8th in the long jump. The 400 meter relay team of Keith Salimo, Malone, Sawyer Kean, and Henry Arnold placed 2nd. Senior, Sawyer Kean placed 5th in the 100 meters despite have to nurse a hamstring injury.  Arnold placed 4th in the 200 meters and the 1600 meter relay team was 6th. 

Lewiston freshman Holden Christen was 4th in the 800 meters. Pawnee City junior Alex Menninga was 6th in the 3200 meters and the Indians Clayton Branek was 3rd in the discus. 

In Class C, Samuel Saldivar a sophomore placed 4th in the 3200 meters and 7th in the 1600 meters for Johnson County Central.  Ryan Teten was 8th in the shot put for the T-Birds. 

In Clas B, Falls City triple jumper Lee Huettner capped off his career with a 7th place finish in the event.
